I found Johnathan's answer spot on. I installed the MegaRAID manager (version 16 now) and it got the job done. I am able to view & modify the RAID without the bloated OpenManage package.
Besides which, I'm installing on HyperV Server (free core version) which won't support OpenManage since it requires IIS. The latest download I used is from the Broadcom site downloads page ) under the section 'Management Software and Tools'. You can also try this, but if this link doesn't work you can always go the long way around. Plus the long way guarantees you the latest version.
